Human-led. Attorney-supervised. AI-enabled.

Who can run my firm’s AI workflows and check the outputs?

Human-in-the-loop legal AI support assigns a dedicated specialist to run approved automations, review every output and handle exceptions. The role fits a Tier 2 or Tier 3 staffing scope. Custom builds are quoted separately. Your attorneys direct legal work, decide substantive questions and approve anything sent outside the firm.

Custom pricing. Scope and price confirmed in writing.

Match education to the work, then test the work

Legal support outsourcing should begin with role fit. Review the proposed specialist’s education, relevant experience, writing and practical work against the task. LL.B., LL.M., J.D. and paralegal training describe different pathways; they do not establish U.S. attorney licensure.

Use a synthetic exercise that requires source checks and handling an unclear answer. Agree the review owner and permissions before a person or tool receives access.

What the operator does each day

The operator reviews incoming work, checks source-linked drafts and routes unclear items to the designated reviewer. They record failed runs, changed source records and pending approvals. Completion means the agreed check was performed, not that a legal conclusion is correct.

Education matters alongside practical testing

Match LL.B., LL.M., J.D. or relevant professional training to the actual assignment. Review the proposed person’s records, written work and a synthetic workflow exercise. Overseas education does not establish U.S. bar admission or authority to provide legal advice.

What belongs in the role description

  • Approved workflows, data categories and software access.
  • Checks required for every output and the evidence to retain.
  • Exception categories, escalation contacts and expected coverage.
  • Rules for model or template changes and who authorizes them.
  • Reporting and handoff responsibilities when the operator is unavailable.

Human seat pricing and separately scoped builds

Tier 2 staffing is $599 per week per assistant; Tier 3 is $699 per week per assistant. Role, coverage and terms are agreed in writing. AI development, software usage and other project costs are separate unless expressly included. Selected human staffing engagements may include simple workflows at no additional charge, as confirmed in their written scope.

What stays with your attorneys

Legal judgment, advice, strategy, deadlines, external commitments and final work product stay with counsel. The operator escalates uncertainty and never treats an AI answer as authority to act.

A person remains accountable

Six controls for every proposed AI workflow

Approved tools and data

Use only firm-approved systems, permissions and data categories.

Drafts with named reviewers

Label every AI output as a draft and route it to a named human reviewer.

Traceable extracted facts

Keep a source link or document/page reference for every extracted fact.

Visible exceptions

Log missing evidence, conflicting inputs and failed steps. Never silently fill gaps.

Attorney approval before sending

AI never makes legal decisions or gives advice. Nothing is sent to a client, court or opposing party without attorney approval.

SOC 2 Type II scope review

Remote Legal Team LLC states SOC 2 Type II security. Confirm report scope, period and covered services during diligence; it does not certify every proposed tool or make a workflow automatically compliant.
