Docketwise workflow support

How can I use Docketwise AI with a careful review process?

Get more from the Docketwise you already pay for. We map your approved intake, document and form workflow, then identify the AI functions actually enabled in your account. A trained operator compares each extracted field or draft with its source. Immigration eligibility, strategy, signature and release stay with your attorney.

Custom pricing. Scope and price confirmed in writing.

Match education to the work, then test the work

Legal support outsourcing should begin with role fit. Review the proposed specialist’s education, relevant experience, writing and practical work against the task. LL.B., LL.M., J.D. and paralegal training describe different pathways; they do not establish U.S. attorney licensure.

Use a synthetic exercise that requires source checks and handling an unclear answer. Agree the review owner and permissions before a person or tool receives access.

What does Docketwise publish about AI?

Docketwise publishes a writing assistant and AI data capture for Smart Forms. Its writing page describes editing, summaries and English-Spanish translation within the platform.

There is an important availability limit: the Data Capture help article states that the feature is in closed beta for selected accounts. Marketing pages describe the capability more broadly. We therefore check your account and the vendor's current guidance before including it in scope.

What could we build around my intake workflow?

A proposed Docketwise legal admin outsourcing assignment can connect an approved intake checklist with an evidence index and a field-by-field review queue. The workflow records who supplied a fact, which document supports it and where a question remains unanswered.

We keep the intake record, extracted value and reviewed value distinct. An automation may organize the comparison; it must not guess a missing immigration fact or decide which legal answer belongs on a form.

  • Map each permitted field to an identified source.
  • Hold conflicting spellings, dates or document details for review.
  • Record the attorney's instructions before advancing disputed items.

How does the person check extracted information?

Where Data Capture is enabled, Docketwise documents a Review & Edit step before Confirm & Import. Reviewers can edit fields or ignore proposed updates. The documentation says records change only after that confirmation.

Our operator checks the proposed values against the original record, notes differences and obtains the required approval before importing. The test must also verify which contact and Smart Form receive the update.

DocketWise IQ Data Capture and access limits

Which records can the AI step use?

Your firm approves each tool and data category. Docketwise's June 2026 IQ FAQ says not to transmit sensitive health information or personal data about children under 13 to IQ. We treat that as a specific product restriction, not permission to send every other record.

A record outside the approved AI scope stays in the firm's separately approved manual review process. We do not copy real applicant documents into public demonstrations or test prompts.

Docketwise IQ data-use guidance

What does a useful acceptance test look like?

Use synthetic intake records with one spelling conflict, one missing date and one field that must remain unchanged. The operator should identify the conflict, leave the gap unresolved and show which proposed update was withheld.

For bilingual drafts, a qualified language reviewer checks meaning and context before counsel approves the final message. Software translation is not a claim that the result is certified or suitable for a particular filing.

What stays with my immigration attorney?

Eligibility, legal classification, evidence sufficiency, strategy, required signatures and filing decisions remain with counsel. The operator does not give immigration advice. No document or message is sent to a client, agency, court or opposing party without attorney approval.

What is included in the written scope?

We confirm the enabled features, approved data, field mapping, reviewer roles, test cases and handoff documentation. AI pricing is custom and confirmed in writing before work starts.

A build can support your existing staff, or you can discuss a trained remote operator for recurring preparation and checks. Vendor subscriptions, beta access and software terms are separate from our service agreement.

Drafts with named reviewers

Label every AI output as a draft and route it to a named human reviewer.

Traceable extracted facts

Keep a source link or document/page reference for every extracted fact.

Visible exceptions

Log missing evidence, conflicting inputs and failed steps. Never silently fill gaps.

Attorney approval before sending

AI never makes legal decisions or gives advice. Nothing is sent to a client, court or opposing party without attorney approval.

Questions about this workflow

Is Docketwise AI Data Capture available to every firm?

We cannot promise that. The vendor's Data Capture help article describes closed beta access for selected accounts. We verify current access before designing a workflow that depends on it.

Can an operator accept every AI field automatically?

No. The proposed process compares extracted fields with their sources, flags conflicts and follows your firm's approval procedure before an import.

Can Docketwise AI decide immigration eligibility?

Our service does not use AI or nonlawyer staff to make that decision. Your attorney determines eligibility, strategy, final form content and release.
